Key Takeaway

Tekashi 6ix9ine and his partnership with Dummy Vapes have become entangled in a legal dispute with rival vape company Fume. The conflict involves allegations of Fume trying to lure Tekashi away from Dummy Vapes with a

million offer and attempting to sign his girlfriend to a contract. The dispute intensified when Fume allegedly influenced Tekashi to cancel a promotional event for Dummy Vapes. Dummy Vapes has filed a lawsuit against Fume for interference, seeking undisclosed damages.

Dummy Vapes Claims Rival Company, Fume, is Trying to Steal Their Rainbow-Haired Business Partner

In February 2023, Dummy Vapes entered into a “celebrity collaboration” with Tekashi 6ix9ine to exclusively endorse their vaporizers. However, things took a turn in June when Dummy Vapes discovered that Fume, a competitor, had approached Tekashi with a $1 million offer in an attempt to lure him away.

While Tekashi did not take the bait, Dummy Vapes claims that Fume then approached Tekashi’s girlfriend, Yailin La Mas Viral, with a $250,000 contract.

Tekashi 6ix9ine Ventures into Merchandising Negotiations with Fume

In July 2023, according to the lawsuit, Tekashi started negotiating merchandising deals with Fume. One of the prominent collaborations was for his controversial track “Shaka Laka” featuring Kodak Black and Yailin. Fume even released 14 different vape flavors, some of which were named “Dummy Vapes by Fume.”

Dummy Vapes claims that Tekashi eventually clarified his association with Dummy Vapes and stated that his dealings with Fume were through his girlfriend.

Jet-Setting Promotional Mishap Becomes the Flashpoint

The situation escalated when Dummy Vapes alleges it paid $60,000 for Tekashi to fly on a private jet to promote their brand at an industry event in Las Vegas, only for the rapper to cancel last-minute due to directives from Fume.

As a result, Dummy Vapes has filed a lawsuit against Fume for interference in their relationship with Tekashi. The specified damages are yet to be disclosed.

Fume has not responded to requests for comment.
