Dillon Danis, the fighter and online troll, has finally been served with the lawsuit filed by Nina Agdal, just in time before his upcoming fight with Logan Paul. After evading the process server for over a week, Danis was officially notified of the legal action against him.
Dillon Danis has been served with the lawsuit filed by Nina Agdal, who accuses him of online harassment and bullying. Danis now has 21 days to respond to the complaint.
Serving the Document
On Monday morning, outside the building in Jersey City where Danis resides, the process server confronted him. Accompanied by two friends, Danis was approached with a brown envelope and addressed as “Mr. Danis.” However, he refused to accept the document, claiming it was not him. As they walked towards the building’s doors, the server was unable to enter and therefore left the document on the floor.
Over the past few days, Danis had been playing a game of cat and mouse with the process servers, going to the extent of falsely claiming he was in North Korea. He even shared images and surveillance videos of unsuccessful attempts to serve him.
Nina Agdal’s Lawsuit
Earlier this month, it was revealed that Nina Agdal, Logan Paul’s fiancé, had filed a lawsuit and secured a restraining order against Danis. Agdal accused Danis of relentlessly bullying and trolling her online, with more than 250 incidents documented.
In her lawsuit, Agdal claims that she has endured humiliation, emotional distress, and reputational harm as a result of Danis’ actions. She further alleges that Danis violated both State and Federal laws when he unlawfully accessed a private video on her phone.
Next Steps for Danis
Now that Danis has been served, he is required to respond to the complaint within 21 days, as per New Jersey law.
As the legal battle unfolds, the anticipation for the Logan Paul versus Dillon Danis fight on October 14 continues to grow. This unexpected turn of events adds another layer of excitement to the upcoming match, as fans eagerly await the outcome both in and out of the ring.
