Reality TV star Shannon Beador, known for her appearance on “The Real Housewives of Orange County,” found herself in legal trouble over the weekend. Beador was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and being involved in a hit-and-run incident in Southern California.
Reality TV star Shannon Beador, known for her role in “The Real Housewives of Orange County,” was arrested for DUI alcohol and hit-and-run in Newport Beach. Beador collided with a house and attempted to flee the scene before being apprehended by the police. She has been booked for two misdemeanors and was released without bond. This incident adds to Beador’s recent personal struggles.
Clipping a House and Attempting to Flee
The incident occurred in Newport Beach, where Beador allegedly drove her car onto a residential property and collided with the house. Instead of stopping, Beador continued driving before parking her vehicle in the middle of the street. It was at this point that she got out of the car, accompanied by her dog.
According to law enforcement sources, Beador tried to disguise her actions by acting as if she was out for a walk when the police arrived in response to a 911 call. However, her intoxicated state was evident, and she was subsequently taken into custody.
Charges and Investigation
As part of their investigation into the incident, the Newport Beach Police Department seized Beador’s car. She has been booked for two misdemeanors – hit-and-run and DUI alcohol. Beador was cited and released without the need for posting bail. It is worth noting that she was not filming with Bravo, the network behind “The Real Housewives of Orange County,” at the time of her arrest.
A Difficult Period for Beador
This arrest adds to the challenges Beador has been facing. Earlier this year, she publicly discussed her painful breakup with her boyfriend of three and a half years, John Janssen. According to Beador, she was blindsided by Janssen ending the relationship in November 2022, just weeks after they had finished filming for Season 17 of “RHOC.” The breakup was described as devastating by Beador.
